Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - September 10, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

We’ve had a good day with our adventures at school, home, and the lab.  Tai Chi by the river with Mom and Dad made for a great start to our day, and after a standard school day breakfast; we moved on to the academic fun that kept us busy through to our first school band practice of the year.  Due to that practice, the cheer squad had their practice during our lunch break, but football players can’t do both – though they are still allowed to be in the band if they practice on their own.  Aaron is doing that; and we’ll suggest that he’s also good with another reason to spend time with Sophia; since she’s getting him the music and practicing with him! ;^)

That first band practice wasn’t a major event, but we did get the Halloween music we’ll be learning and worked through a few songs for the first time.  We brought our friends home with us for a quick pre-dinner study session; we split up in time for late dinners with our own families; and then Ethan and I headed for the lab or archives for the evening.  Thanks to some time phasing, we got a lot done tonight, but that has also meant a lot of extra hours in our day; so we’re getting tired.  I’m making some new progress with my cancer research, so I’m happy about that tonight too, and while Ethan’s book-work might not be that exciting by comparison; what he is doing is important and will lead to us having better-trained Magi for all future generations.

Thanks to all of our personal busy, we avoided the torture of the first Presidential debate, and though we’ve caught up with the highlights; let’s not let that political theater get in the way of our happy feelings – or offer commentary on the political idiocies in our country.

Ethan just suggested that we try an update using political word salads, but while that might be funny; we’ll stick with reporting the facts of our daily adventures – so that we can learn from our past without allowing it to burden our future with anything that might mess up our lives with knowledge that could mess up our plans thanks to records that can be used against us!  Okay, it appears that I’d be terrible at even trying to do that; so I’ll wrap up this report unburdened by my lack of talent for writing nonsense that means nothing and move on to get started on some quality nap time that won’t include any word salad dreams!

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
