Ethan and Ehlana:
We’ve had a very long, busy chores and holiday weekend prep day that rolled on until we stopped for dinner except for lunch and swim breaks. The work happened at multiple homes, and that worked for us because Naomi and Aiden worked with us as we pitched in at a total of five homes and yards. Mom and Dad hosted a small gang for the barbeque dinner; and then we headed over to the park after the clean-up for some biking and to cheer for our favorite co-ed team as they earned a twelve-to-seven victory over the Rawhide Rangers. We helped out with the youngest kids too, but there was a lot of help from favorite adults too; so we spent about an hour biking the trails with some cousins and friends. After the big win, we came home with Mom and Dad – and without any overnight guests. Bath or Jacuzzi time was required; and we’ve been on our own for a little while because Mom and Dad are at Sheldon’s Pub for some play time with friends their own age. They aren’t going to be there for long, but we can add that some of the co-ed ball players are able to be there too because they’re getting kid-free nights. Cassie and Michael are helping out with that by doing a sleepover for Sierra and Luke while the rest of our favorite young couples are getting help from other relatives, parents, and grandparents.
That’s all we have for this update; since the chores details are boring – even as we had fun with the work and our family and friends. What our day lacked in excitement we made up for with love and happiness; so we are feeling very good as we wrap up our day and get ready to get some sleep. We won’t do that until after Mom and Dad get home, but since we’re finished with this report; we’ll move on to some music play time while we wait for them to get home again.
