Happy 3rd Anniversary, Lucas and Rebecca!
Cassie and Michael attended the anniversary dinner at the Norton’s farm tonight, but other than being in on a family gift that they delivered for us; we didn’t even see the happy couple today. That was still a top story of the day for Michael’s family, though, and we hope that his sister and brother-in-law have had a happy day. We heard that they’re getting a kid-free night for one of their gifts; and won’t want or need details at least for that part of their celebration!
As for our day, the weather continues to be sunny and awesome; we have been happy all day from Tai Chi by the river with Mom and Dad through breakfast, our academic adventures, and after-school fun that included some biking, a swim in the river, and the usual Tuesday night baseball practices and Pizzeria pizza picnic dinner at the park. After getting home, we got busy with some family business and chores work, a Magi lesson with Mom, and then bath or Jacuzzi time that we needed to get cleaned up after the outdoor play time and ball practices.
The other top story we have for today comes from Dad’s office. Anna Marie Palmer officially joined the law practice today, and while that is going to be awesome for everyone at the office; we’re expecting that Dad will be busier for a while before Anna Marie will be able to take some of the workload from Dad and make his job a bit easier. We’ll keep you posted on that now and then as we go along, but Anna Marie is brilliant; and she is going to be an amazing lawyer! The jokes have already started – usually at Dad’s expense, and while we won’t offer all of them here in our journal, for one example; we’re very glad that Dad was the only lawyer in town when the Magi council found out about Mom and Cassie because they might have made a different decision back then if they could have afforded to lose one lawyer. Since we might not have been here otherwise; Ehlana and I are very glad that Anna Marie was still a kid back then! ;^)
Moving along, we got a lot of work done thanks to some time phasing, and now we’re really tired; so that’s all we have for this update. Getting some sleep is next on our agenda, and while that might not seem very exciting; it is what we need most right now – so we’re going to call it a night and crash and nap for a while.
