Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - June 17, 2022

Ethan and Ehlana:

Summer holidays are here!

That’s our top story of the day.  We had fun at school; got set free early; and went biking and swimming with our friends after the early-release after our Pizzeria pizza lunch party.  The swimming was needed due to the heat; we had ice cream treats mixed in with that fun; and then the Carringtons hosted the family-and-friends’ barbeque dinner and play evening.  The food and play time was great, but we also set up tents in our back yard for ourselves, Naomi, Aiden, and a small gang of cousins and their friends.  The campfire was still at the Carringtons, and Dad got home in time for that; so we loved sharing our music, hearing scary stories from the grandparents; and more music fun from other contributors.

Now we’re taking turns getting ready for the co-ed camping part of our night.  We’ll be the only couples doing that co-ed part of the night, but we’re going to ignore the teasing from the younger campers; since we want the cuddle time more.

It’s nearly time to meet up with Naomi and Aiden to do that soon; so that’s all for this report – or not.

At least one of us is thinking about that co-ed camping to the point of distraction; since we skipped over the co-ed baseball game tonight that was part of our family play time.    Our team – the Witch Falls Willows – won another lopsided game over Ayres’ Aspens by a score of fourteen-to-four.  This wasn’t really a case of younger adults besting older couples, since both teams have younger players; our team is just that much better so far this season.  While we did watch some of that game, we spent more time on kid-control duty, played at the playground, and went for a swim to cool off.  All of that happened before the campfire, and now it is also getting late; so that’s all for this report.

Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
