Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - November 6, 2021

Ethan and Ehlana:

Since our last report, we’ve had two blasts of biking fun on the trails – the first soon-after we were reunited with Naomi and Aiden yesterday afternoon; and the second was this afternoon after lunch and our morning of chores.  We’re not beginning this update with that for any specific reason; though the outdoor play time after a chilly week around here was great; and after some cold weather; temperatures in the sixties feels good!  We also loved the family-and-friends’ dinner and Christmas movie time last night; and the co-ed sofa sleepover with our best friends – along with another movie – was great too.

Tai Chi by the river for six this morning was still chilly, but enough warmer to feel better; Dad cooked a hot breakfast for us, and then it was chores time at three houses that included some outdoor work and some prep work for the upcoming holiday weekend.  Our biking today included going out on the trail as far as we could toward Quarry Lake and back; we had our snack break by the falls; and got home in time to help Mom with making dinner.  Naomi and Aiden were with their own families for dinner and the rest of the night; so we’ve had a quiet evening here with Mom and Dad.

After dinner and the clean-up, we did some work in the office; watched a movie; and wrapped up our fun with Jacuzzi or bath time.  Ehlana and I have been hanging out in the lounge since then and keeping entertained with some surfing and our usual bedtime twin chat.  We’ve had a lot to talk about – including plans for the next few weeks between now and Thanksgiving; football; and our favorite collegians.  There was some overlap with those topics, but we’ll save those news stories for when they’ll happen.  We can report that Michael, Tim, and their team lost their away football game today, and while they don’t like losing; they are still having an awesome season; and have a really good chance of being invited to a bowl game – if not one of the big games like the playoff battles for a spot in the championship game.

There isn’t really anything else that we need to go over tonight, and we should try to get some extra sleep tonight after a couple of late nights with our best friends; so we’ll go do that now; and, until next time...
