Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - March 19, 2019

Ethan:

We’re getting ready for bed; so this is going to be a short update – live from our hotel in Crystal Springs.

We were up early; got ready for the day and had breakfast for three; loaded up the minivan; and then picked up Naomi and Aiden on our way out of town.  The drive to the city was quick and easy; we met up with Angela, Valerie, and Marcus Malloy at the mall; had a snack break; and then shopped for the morning.  Lunch was at the food court; we spent the afternoon playing at SportsFusion; and one of the highlights was finding out that we – the four older kids – were tall-enough to go on the zip line ride!

I’m not sure that you have a better chance of surviving a fall from near the ceiling of a building like that based on your height; but the ‘ride’ operator assured us that they hardly ever had any kids fall – though adding in the survivor rate was more than a little unbelievable. ;^)

We also had fun with the games there; and I teamed up with Marcus to help him out because most of them were a bit too-tough for kids his age.  We met up with Dad and Terry for dinner; went out to see an animated movie that Valerie and Marcus loved; but won’t be in danger of winning any academy awards; and then we said goodbye to the Malloys and headed for our hotel.  As I mentioned; we’re getting ready for bed; Mom and Dad will be over soon to tuck us in for the night before Dad gets started on his homework; and we’ll be on our own for the rest of the night.

Yes, we’re only seven and eight, but we’re right next door to Dad’s room; and no burglar in their right mind should want to mess with four junior ninjas!

I have to go now.  Naomi is instigating a little prank for Mom and Dad; and that won’t work if we’re not in place on time.

I’ll give you a hint – coed sleepover! ;^)

Ethan – out!
