Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - March 16, 2019

Ethan:

I’m taking a break from our video gaming for this update, but have Zack and Caleb in the room; so I’ll keep this short.

We had fun this morning with the extra Tai Chi buddies and breakfast with a gang of kids.  After that, Ehlana, Naomi, Aiden, and I met up with our friends for biking – once we’d helped with the clean-up and chores; and Mom and Dad had parental support for the younger kids.  We biked the long way around the path to the park; played there for a while; and then had more play time at home with all of our friends – and we had them with us for lunch too.  More park and biking fun followed; and then Ehlana and I had to come home in time to get ready to go over to Uncle Adam and Aunt Leanne’s house.  Babysitting central is at their house, but Ehlana and I aren’t staying overnight because we want to be home for Mom’s birthday in the morning.

That is why we have babysitting services tonight – the parents are out for dinner and a birthday party for Mom at the pub.  Tonight is also spring dance night at the school; so our babysitters were Dillon and Violet for dinner; and now Grandpa Andrew and Grandma Christine have us for the rest of the night – and they’ll be here overnight.  I’m keeping Zack and Caleb busy with the gaming, since our babysitters are tired after a long day at the Emporium; and the girls are watching a movie in the living room.  Bedtime won’t be far off; though Ehlana and I will stay up until Mom and Dad come to get us on their way home – and help out by keeping ears open in case our cousins need us while the grandparents nap.

I’m not including any major details, but we’ve had a really good first day of our break from school; and that’s the only really important news.  That’s also all I have for now; and it’s time to get back into the video gaming again – before Caleb gets upset by Zack’s knack for bragging about his gaming skills a bit too-much.

Ethan – out!

Ehlana:

Ethan skipped the news about the girls winning a bike race over the guys this morning, but then he let us do that when we sprung that surprise on the boys; so he didn’t care about winning or losing – even if some of the other guys really did have a problem with our sneak attack that allowed us to get the lead and then block most of the boys from getting past us on the bridge or path leading up into the park from the west side of town.

That was a highlight of my morning – though I helped out with blocking the way while Caroline led the ‘breakaway’ to the top of the hill and the win.

Ethan’s covered the rest of our day to now; so I only need to add that our movie time was appropriately-rated for Brianna and Faith; I already have them tucked in for the night and sleeping; and now I’m waiting for Ethan to join me in my room once he’s finished getting Zack and Caleb settled down for the night.  I’m going to wrap this up and have a bedtime vid-chat with Naomi; and then do some research work while hanging out with Ethan and wafting for Mom and Dad to get back from the pub and take us home.

I’ll get to that vid-chat now; so stay tuned for our next updates; and we’ll have all of the best news from Mom’s birthday adventures – not including any that might be happening now or later that we will not want to know about or report in our journals. ;^)

This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live from what is now my past!
