Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - March 17, 2019

Ethan:

Well, that’s the news of the day, and Aiden and I have some video gaming to do while we’re not sleeping at his house; so I’ll get back to that; and then maybe get some sleep later tonight.

Ethan – out!

Ehlana:

Ethan is just doing that because he doesn’t want to spend any time thinking about what Mom and Dad might be doing with their kid-free night. ;^)

Our day started with Tai Chi for two while Mom and Dad slept in; Ethan and I got started on making breakfast for a gang; and Dad joined in shortly-after he woke up while Mom got to nap for a while longer and then get ready for church.  We had help with making a major breakfast from Uncle Adam and Uncle Mark; that meal was a lot of fun with the Carrington and Everett families – and while we had a vid-chat with our four favorite college teens.  Mom opened some gifts; we eventually had to deal with the major clean-up; and then we headed for church.

While we had fun with the family part of the service and then our Sunday school class; the entertainment-level kicked up a couple of notches with a snack lunch at our house; some park play time this afternoon until it started to rain; and then a movie and cuddle time in the living room for most of us – and video gaming for the boys that couldn’t handle the toddler-friendly show choice.  After the movie; we went over to grandma and grandpa’s house to help them with unloading the minivan once they were back in town; we went to the buffet dinner at the Inn for Mom’s birthday dinner; and had a blast with Grandpa’s first travel stories – along with all of the birthday fun for Mom.

Ethan and I were in on the birthday kid-free night surprise; so we were happy to head home with Aiden and Naomi respectively; and Naomi and I watched a movie with her family before coming up to her bedroom for the rest of the night.  She’s already fallen asleep after our girl chat time; and I’m ready to get some sleep now too.  I’m going to play in the lab tomorrow morning while it will be cool outside anyway; and then Ethan and I will be having a play afternoon with our friends.

We do have a fun week planned – even without any major travel adventures; so stay tuned – there’s sure to be more fun and excitement to come!

This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live from what is now my past!
