Ethan and Ehlana:
We had a lot of fun last night and this morning with our camping adventures, so while we did more work than play since lunchtime; Ehlana and I are happy tonight as we wrap up the weekend with our usual bedtime computer checks and twin chat time.
The rest of our Saturday began with setting up our tents and then helping to get the gang of kids and teens fed. Sure, the Pizzeria pizza order made that fairly-easy, but there were still sides and drinks to supplement the pizzas; and we took care of the clean-up too. The outdoor movies started at dusk as soon as the video could be seen clearly on the projection screen along the wall of Aiden’s storage barn. The younger kids picked the first movie; the teens chose the second one; and we all had fun with the entertainment and outdoor fun that included some back yard games and a couple of swims when we wanted to cool down. The kids all went to bed in their tents by eleven o’clock; the teens and tweens stayed up later – too late; and then some of us were happy to enjoy the co-ed camping for the naps we had time for by then before we needed to be up again for Tai Chi by the river.
Cassie and Michael joined us for that workout and then they opted to do their own thing for breakfast while we helped to get all of the campers fed and ready for church while also getting our tents and gear packed up and ready to take home again. We managed to get all of that done and drop our gear off at home along the way to the church. The service and Sunday school were great; and then we had an early, easy-meal lunch before heading to the lab or archives for the afternoon. That was a tough choice when we were getting another awesome weather day with a high in the nineties that family and friends took advantage of, but we needed the work-play time at our favorite jobs; and haven’t made nearly enough time to do that since school started. That’s also why we used a fair bit of time phasing this afternoon; and we worked until around six o’clock before heading home for dinner. Mom and Dad had their work done by then, but we still helped with the after-dinner clean-up; Mom did a Magi lesson with us; and then we did a bit of charity work too before heading upstairs for bath or Jacuzzi time. Ehlana and I were ready for that break by then; and we’re tired now as we’re writing this update. We’ll be up early to see Dad and Anna Marie off to Crystal Springs; so we also need to wrap this up and get all of the sleep we can between now and then. Before we go there, though, let’s cover the world and political news of the weekend.
While the Charlie Kirk assassination is still a top story in our country and is an ongoing problem that we’ve already noted needs to be fixed; it also seems that it is another distraction from other horrors happening elsewhere in the world. Peace talks for Ukraine seem to be at an end or stalled now with no end in sight; so the fighting continues on the ground and the destruction and deaths mount every day. There won’t be much left for the victors to eventually claim, but then it is possible that nobody will want control of Ukraine after the war; since they’d also be on the hook for the trillions of dollars that will be needed to rebuild everything that is in rubble now. Israel is happy to take advantage of every distraction from what they’re doing in Gaza and elsewhere in the Middle East; and hardly anyone seemed to take notice of a story suggesting that Israel has the green light to clear out the West Bank of all Palestinians too as well as continuing what they’re doing in Gaza. That doesn’t surprise us, but the Israeli leaders and armed forces need to be stopped; since they are doing evil right now – and that is an assertion coming from two junior Magi Masters with direct connections to God; so we are not simply offering our opinions.
We’d better stop now and call it a night. We’ve had a good weekend with lots of fun and quality work time, so we’re happy and content with our accomplishments. We’re going to keep busy in the coming week; and hope for all of the awesome to continue. While we hope for that, we’re also going to get started on the nap time; so we’re out of here and off to dreamland right now.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
