Ethan and Ehlana:
We’ve had another warm, sunny day here at home; and that’s helped to make everything just a bit better from seeing Dad and Anna Marie off to the city through to now. In between those time markers, we’ve managed to fill in our day with a lot of busy. Tai Chi by the river was warm and calm; we had a quiet breakfast with Mom; and then our academic adventures kept us busy and entertained through until we were set free for football or cheer squad practices. Hot weather can make those workouts a challenge, but we need that to help with our conditioning; and we’ll prefer it to the wet-weather workouts we’re expecting for most of the rest of this week!
Ehlana and I hosted the dinner and study evening that followed our practices; and Mom had everything ready by the time we got home with our four best friends. That’s why the teens took care of the clean-up after the pasta and sides meal; and then we got to work on our studying. The homework came first, but then we moved on to a group Magi lesson with Mom and a music practice for both the school band and our little group. We have another two songs ready to record on Wednesday, and while it doesn’t feel like Christmas when we still haven’t even gotten into the fall and Halloween season yet; we do love the music and the mix of old and new we’re going with for the four-song extended play we’re putting together for this Christmas season! We eventually took Silkie for a walk while seeing Naomi and Aiden to their homes, and for the record, we don’t usually do that with Sophia and Aaron too because they don’t want or need the company when he walks her home from our house.
Our day wasn’t quite done after we got home – we did a bit of charity and family business work in the office with Mom; had a bedtime vid chat with Dad; and then we decided on a bit of bath or Jacuzzi time before meeting up again for the bedtime twin chat and computer checks. It is getting late, and that doesn’t include the ‘extra’ time-phased hours; so let’s make the world news commentary quick and then we’ll go and get some sleep. The current conflicts in the Ukraine and Middle East roll on with no end in sight, but for a change of pace; we’re going to comment on political issues in Europe. There have been major protests against the governments in France and the United Kingdom that could spread across the region as those governments face pushback against cuts to public services and benefits while more money is sent to Ukraine for an already lost cause in support of a supposedly-democratic government that is no longer democratic at all and very corrupt. Immigration is a major issue too; and that’s true for pretty much all of the European countries. The people are apparently figuring out that there is a connection between the immigration crisis and the foreign policies that have led to all of those people fleeing their ‘home’ countries. We could get into a long rant on the make-up of those migrating populations, since that is an issue with the problems that go along with having too many men and too few women in any society – not to mention the clashes of ideologies that are leading to horrific conditions for young women and even young girls in the Euro region. In addition to the protests that have been going on, there are also efforts by globalist leaders to impose political change on countries that don’t just tow the line on their policies – especially any disputes over the proxy war with Russia. The term ‘globalist’ probably shouldn’t be used as it usually is; since those leaders really want to rule the world as neo-colonialists and gain wealth and power by exploiting the countries that they used to rule by force in previous centuries. They can’t accept that they might not ever be able to do that again for countries like China and India – or as they’d wanted to do to Russia for centuries now too. Our leaders should learn from that, since it really wasn’t that long ago that we were one of those colonies being fought over by those European elites! We didn’t like being ruled by royals or other elite Europeans; so it should be easy for us to understand why that’s true for the people in every other country of the world.
Okay, that’s enough for tonight. Our week is going to get busier from here, so we should get some sleep while we can. Stay tuned, and we’ll have all of those stories for you as we go along.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
