Happy 10th Birthday, Sebastian Ayres!
We’ve had a busy day that started with indoor Tai Chi due to cold weather; our academic adventures are really winding down into the Thanksgiving break; and then we helped with Sebastian’s birthday dinner and party for both the work and kid control. Naomi and Aiden were with us for the party, and in addition to Sebastian’s friends; there was a large group of family and adult friends at his house for the dinner and at least part of the evening while he only had a handful of friends stay for the night. Hailey eventually saved Leah and took her home for the night too, but we didn’t use that excuse for a bonus school night sleepover for our best friends.
While that party was our entertainment highlight of the day, and Sebastian has had a fun day; we can also mention that we loved getting to share some of that fun with Cassie and Michael. Let’s also mention that Jaimie and Micah are here today after spending the weekend in Granite Park with her family, but they only made a cameo visit to see Sebastian; and had other plans for the rest of the night. They’re staying with Cassie and Michael too, but will be shared with Micah’s family and their hometown friends too while here through the holiday weekend.
Ethan and I came home with Mom and Dad by eight-thirty – after most of the clean-up work was done and the other guests were heading out too. Mom did a Magi lesson with us; we worked in the office for a few hours; and now we’re winding down toward nap time. We got a fair bit of work done tonight thanks to a time phase; so we’re feeling pretty good about those efforts along with being happy thanks to the fun with our family and friends. All of that love and happiness is why we aren’t going to mess up how we’re feeling with any bad news stories tonight; so let’s only add that good news on the world stage is still hard to find.
That isn’t something we want to go to bed thinking about; so that’s all for tonight and we’re out of here and off to dreamland soon.
