Happy 49th Birthday, Claire Norton!
We missed out on some birthday fun at home today, but then again, we probably would have been drafted for babysitting while the parents went out with Claire – which some of them are doing tonight – including Dad now that he’s home from the city. Our play day number two at Universal has been another blast, though, so we’re happy with our choices!
Weather was an issue today, but not as much as we expected; since the rain we did get came in spurts while the rest of the day was often-sunny and the high still managed to reach the low-seventies and felt even better in the sunshine. We spent more time at the ‘old’ park today, but we still spent some time in the other parks; the rides and everything else were collectively-awesome; and we’ll still offer a full report on some of those details with a wrap-up report after we get home. For now, we really just need to report that we are babysitting tonight – with ‘we’ being the teens and tweens – while the adults go out for a few hours of fun that doesn’t include a gang of kids. Cassie and Michael get to go along with the parents; and they are nearly as-happy for the break that is going to include dancing and maybe even a late-night meal that is more than the fast food and park choices we’ve gone with for most of the week.
We need to get to that babysitting now, though, so that’s all for this update.
