Ethan and Ehlana:
Dad is in the city for the week, and while our day has been quiet since then; that isn’t only because he’s away! The early start to our day while seeing him on his way has something to do with why we’re tired tonight, but we’ve also been busy too – if not in any exciting ways.
Our top news of the day for the family is actually for our favorite collegians. Jaimie, Micah, and their townhouse roommates are all there and getting the early start to their school year. They’ve mostly been busy with getting moved in, but they’ve picked up their books already too; and will be ahead of the curve; since the residential halls don’t open until Wednesday. We don’t have many details yet, but have heard that they are happy and having fun.
Cassie and Michael have started their second day in Chengdu – though their Tuesday work adventures include two site visits; and they’re planning on a bit of sightseeing along the way. They’re back into hot weather again; and that seems different to us today because it has been much-cooler around here today with a high that only reached the low-seventies.
That worked for us today because a break from all of the hot was welcomed, but we were also at the lab for the morning before we moved on to some biking and play time with our friends this afternoon. Our best friends were needed by their families tonight, so we came home to have a quiet dinner with Mom; and our evening has included a Magi lesson; some family business work; bath or Jacuzzi time; and now we’re pretty much ready to call it a night and get some sleep now. That’s also all we have for tonight; so we’re out of here and off to dreamland soon!
