Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - January 17, 2023

Ethan and Ehlana:

Happy 1st Birthday, Karyn Johnson!

As usual, we were in on a family gift for our cousin, but the only news we have to report on Karyn’s special day is really just that we have another family story for having back-to-back holiday weekend babies for Karyn last year and Nolan two days ago!  Let’s not comment on what might be related to this new ‘trend’ for the young couples in the family that is leading to having these kids; though maybe it is just due to the arrival of Spring!

Moving along, we’re happiest today that Cassie and Michael are beginning their final semester at college; so the countdown is really on now!  Compared to that – or birthdays – our day has been tame.  We were up early to see Dad off on his short week in the city; Tai Chi was indoors with just three of us; and then we had a standard school-day breakfast and an uneventful school day.  We had a band practice with Naomi and Aiden after school; took a picnic dinner with us to the lab to play there for a few hours after our best friends headed for their homes; and Mom came along to do some systems work on the computers at the lab while I played in the archives and Ehlana ran a couple of experiments with the help of some time phasing and Magi powered multi-tasking.

Mom let us play at the lab until around ten o’clock; we came home; and pretty much have been getting ready for bed since then.  We’ve kept our twin chat and computing short too with just a few stories about what we were each doing at the lab or archives; so this is all of the news we have for today too.  The next few days might be quieter for us, but let’s not say more and risk jinxing ourselves!  It is time to get some sleep, though, so we’re out of here and ready to do that now.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
