Ethan, Ehlana, Naomi, and Aiden:
It’s been a while since our last ‘group’ update, but we’re together for this one because we’re multi-tasking our wind-down to a co-ed sofa sleepover after a very busy day.
Ehlana and I had another good morning with Grandma and Grandpa before school; our academic adventures were a challenge for the teachers because most kids and teens were looking ahead to the fall festival instead of being interested in lessons for any subject. The big news for this version of the festival is that there was an early-bird special; the midway, games and food booths, and pavilions were open from the end of school until nine o’clock; and that’s where we spent those hours having fun on the rides and playing the games.
We don’t want to bore you with financial details, but should mention that BMR labs – and the family business – are continuing to support the costs of the festival. That allows the festival organizers to offer special packages to make the festival something that pretty much everyone can afford. The four of us have weekend passes for the park and midway; so our only extra expenses are for food, drinks, games, and anything else we buy for souvenirs. The midway is bigger and better again this year too, and now that we can go on all the rides; we’re going to have an awesome weekend!
Tomorrow is our school day at the festival, so we should be getting to sleep soon – and might not; since we’re watching a movie and enjoying the cuddle and chat time. Naomi wants me to mention that she’s declared this a weekend-long date for us – and for Ehlana and Aiden. We’re okay with that plan; and ending each festival day with co-ed sofa sleepovers will be awesome too.
For tonight, we’re at Aiden’s house; Naomi’s parents get us tomorrow night; and we’ll be at home with Mom and Dad for Saturday night – though they might not get back from their vacation until dinnertime depending on any travel issues they might have along the way. That isn’t a prediction for problems of either the normal or Dark Magi variety; and we’ll add that we aren’t sensing any imminent danger for them. Naomi’s reedy for me to get back to concentrating on her – and the cuddling, and that works for me too; so, until next time...
