Ehlana and Ethan:
Jennifer’s birthday party and our
cousins-and-friends adventures at Quarry Lake yesterday were awesome; and we
really love the extra entertainment options too – especially the second lake
and aqua-bikes! We were at separate
dinners, campfires, and camping nights, but that was fun too; and there was
some time that we spent together – during a little river raid of the birthday
party by a group of guys that included Ethan, Aiden, and Jayden. We were separated for our Tai Chi workouts
this morning too – and for breakfast, but then we were together again for a
morning trail ride or corral adventure with the cousins and our friends. That was booked for the morning to avoid the
hottest parts of the day; so that also worked out for afternoon swims that went
along with some chores and random play time this afternoon.
The chores were all about getting ahead of
the work we have booked for tomorrow; and we had cousins here that were happy
to ‘play’ on the lawn tractor while mowing the lawn. Our contributions to the work weren’t fun by
comparison, but easier to do with the help of our friends. The trail ride has been the highlight of our
day so far, but we’re heading into a fairly-large family-and-friends barbeque
dinner, play evening, and campfire ahead of another camping night that will
likely be the largest of the past two weeks; so the fun level is sure to kick
up a few notches again very soon.
That’s why we’re doing this update while
multi-tasking getting cleaned up again; since we don’t expect to be interested
in playing on our computers later tonight – especially when late-night, co-ed
cuddling will be an option after the campfire! ;^)
We’re done with the news from home, but
should add that Cassie, Michael, and May are having fun – even with all of
Cassie’s virtual lectures and studies; and they’re especially-happy about
getting to spend time with ‘kids’ their own age. We should also mention that new records
continue to be set for global and national coronavirus cases; and we’re now
down to a bit-less than five days for adding another million new cases. That’s already a number that would have been
hard to imagine six months ago when we were talking about hundreds or thousands
of total cases; yet here we are today topping fourteen-million cases with no
end in sight and the numbers till growing faster each week. There’s a very good chance that we’ll top a
quarter-million new cases today; since we just fell short by a little bit
yesterday.
We don’t want to get into a long commentary
on the pandemic or anything else today, so we won’t do that; we’ll wrap this up
instead; and get back to our summer adventures with our family and
friends. Stay tuned; and we’ll again
