Heirs of the Magi News Flash!

***Heirs of the Magi News Flash!*** The annual fall festival is now behind us, and Cassie and Michael are heading out on their fall trip - this time to the South Pacific! They'll miss out on the Halloween fun at home and the rest of the high school football season, but all of that time in tropical paradises will likely be worth those little sacrifices! Some favorite grandparents will be away for adventures in Arizona or elsewhere too, but our favorite Magi staying at home are sure to have a lot of fun anyway. We'll have all of the adventure highlights from home and away right here for you each day; so... ...Visit Witch Falls often to keep up with all of our latest stories; and Happy Reading! P.S. Thank-you to everyone enjoying our stories from Witch Falls as we have passed five-hundred thousand views!

Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - December 21, 2023

Ethan and Ehlana:

We had an awesome start to our day with Tai Chi that could be at the river with Cassie and Michael thanks to some warm weather.  A hot breakfast for six was great too; and then we headed for school and a morning that included helping to set up the gym for the concert and last practices with the primary grades.  While we were busy, Mom got home from the city; brought a fast food lunch to have with Aunt Leanne and Claire; and then Mom, Aunt Leanne, Cassie, and Michael were in the audience for the concert – along with Grandma, Grandpa, and many of our other favorite parents.  We were glad that our grandparents got home in time for the show, but we were also busy all afternoon as we helped out with the music for about half of the primary grades, joined the school band when needed, had our own class performance, and the song that Naomi and the Holiday Harmonies offered as one of the ‘special’ acts.

Everything about our afternoon of musical fun was amazing!  Our band was a hit, but that was true for most of the performances; and then we had fun with the post-concert social time that included a first round of hugs and kisses with Grandma and Grandpa.  We had work to do before going home, since we helped out with the gym clean-up and getting gear back to the music room.  We did get home eventually; didn’t have any friends with us; and helped Mom around the house and with making dinner for three ahead of the final game night of the year.  You won’t be surprised to find out that Mom and Miranda won the Christmas-themed senior championship – or that we didn’t win the junior title because of a big turnout of older teens.  Yes, we could have tried out best to win, but don’t do that when it could draw the wrong kind of attention our way.

We got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa at the Inn too, but they were tired after an early start to their travel day; so we didn’t do anything with them after the games.  Mom still needed us to help with a few chores after we got home, but we used Magi talents to get that done quickly; and now we’re wrapping up our day with the usual computing and twin chat time.

World news continues to be bad, and we are not expecting a sudden outbreak of peace, so we are not going to rant on any of those stories; stay happy; and share our Christmas love and joy where we can instead of mull over problems we can’t solve.  There is always hope, though, and that is thanks to the reason for the season; so our song pick for tonight is perfect for that truth and sentiment.  We hope that you’ll love the song and message while we call it a night and get some sleep!

The Hope of Christmas – Matthew West

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
