***Heirs of the Magi News Flash!*** The annual fall festival is now behind us, and Cassie and Michael are heading out on their fall trip - this time to the South Pacific! They'll miss out on the Halloween fun at home and the rest of the high school football season, but all of that time in tropical paradises will likely be worth those little sacrifices! Some favorite grandparents will be away for adventures in Arizona or elsewhere too, but our favorite Magi staying at home are sure to have a lot of fun anyway. We'll have all of the adventure highlights from home and away right here for you each day; so... ...Visit Witch Falls often to keep up with all of our latest stories; and Happy Reading! P.S. Thank-you to everyone enjoying our stories from Witch Falls as we have passed five-hundred thousand views!

Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - September 6, 2020

Ehlana and Ethan:

Congratulations, Malcolm, Nadine, and the Johnson and Sinclair families – it’s a boy!

We didn’t expect a new baby to be part of the holiday weekend adventures, but Nadine went into labor early this morning; and Colin arrived while we were at the church service in the park – with some help from Uncle Adam and Aunt Deborah.

The fun we’ve had around that today kept us as busy as if we’d had a normal holiday weekend party at the park, but we – the kids and teens – still had a lot of play time too; and we’ve done a lot of that at the park too.  We knew that Nadine had gone into labor by breakfast time, but less than a quarter of the family was at the clinic instead of the park church service; and then we took turns going there for visits throughout the rest of the day to now.  The church service seemed quiet compared to a normal holiday weekend – and was; but that was mostly due to muffled singing due to masks; and the teens still did their best to make their contributions to the service lively and fun.

After that, we had a picnic lunch with a pick-up baseball game for entertainment that really wasn’t the same without a championship on the line, but we had fun with that too; and then we spent most of the afternoon playing at the park or swimming in the river; since it has been another hot day.  Without any extra activities at the park – like a dance; the picnic started wrapping up by late-afternoon; and we’re going to be having a family and friends barbeque at our house soon.  We’re taking a break to get changed and ready for another camping night, and need to move on and get back to the fun; so that’s about all we have for today.

We’ll cover other weekend news and a Cassie-and-Michael report tomorrow – sometime after our guests head home again.  We still have a holiday shopping day to look forward to before that happens – and the camping tonight; so we’re sure that the final third of our long weekend will be just as awesome as the first two days have been!
