Ethan:
We’ve had an awesome day!
Tai Chi with Ehlana, Naomi, and Aiden this
morning was really great – especially when we had Brianna with us for that; but
Zack and Eli slept through until breakfast was ready. That meal was fun, but a bit of a rush. Aiden and I needed to get to our ball game
after that; our Garden Gnomes were playing Connor’s Cyclops; and we needed the
win to play in the championship game on the Labor Day weekend. We got that win with some help from our cheerleaders,
but it was a close game; and we only won by a score of six-to-four. There was an ice cream treats run to the
Emporium after that; we had to pack up our campground at Naomi’s; and then
Ehlana and I helped out at home – mostly with getting ready for our trip to
Quarry Lake.
That play afternoon with some of our family
and lots of our friends was amazing; and we’ve had awesome weather for being
out there too. Ehlana and I spent the
entire afternoon with Naomi and Aiden; and cameo moments were nearly-everyone
else. We climbed the rock wall; rode the
zip line; swam; played on the water slides and at the playground; we had a
picnic lunch there too; and then we eventually came home for a joint-family,
pot-luck barbeque dinner that Mom and Dad hosted. We – the older kids – helped out with the
younger siblings and cousins; most of us had our dinner by the river while the
parents were at tables set up near the sunroom; and then we had a bit more play
time before everyone except Naomi and Aiden went home.
We got to keep them and Eli went home with
Zack so that Naomi’s parents got a turn for a kid-free night. Mom and Dad are working in the office
tonight, but we’re having a moving and games night in the lounge; and will
likely have our sleepover in there too – though the girls might do that in
Brianna’s room instead. We’re just
getting ready to do that next, which is why this update is early. I want to get back to having fun with my
sister and our best friends, though; so that’s all I have for tonight.

Ehlana:
It’s no surprise that the book fanatic twin
gets his journal updates done faster than I do, but then reading faster than
even Mom, Cassie, and I can is one of his special talents; so that’s no
surprise.
That talent comes in handy for moments like
this because he’s covered enough of the news of the day that I won’t need to
spend much time on my report.
Take what he’s written; add in that Naomi,
Brianna, Hailey, and I had fun cheering for the Garden Gnomes with help from
Aunt Leanne, Mom, and Hannah; and note that I missed having Cassie and Michael
at Quarry Lake with us today – even though we still had a lot of fun. The dinner and play time included some weird
for most of the girls thanks to Zack and Eli attempting feats-of-food that were
scary and occasionally-gross.
Okay, that’s it for me too; and now we’re
going to have some more fun with movies, games, and more that I’ll have to
write about with the next report.
