Cassie's Journal - January 3, 2018

I’ve ended up having a work day here because Michael was busy helping out at home for most of the day anyway after we took yesterday off.  Mom and I did chores all morning while multi-tasking our family business work; we spent the afternoon playing at the lab with the twins – and Uncle Adam and Dillon; and then we had an easy-meal dinner ready to enjoy in the sunroom once Dad got done work for the day too.

This update is coming to you early because Michael and I are going to have a quiet evening here in the lounge, but before I get to that; here’s a little future plan update that’s all about the pizzeria.

While I’ve been out of the loop, Rebecca and Jen are busy while they’re home; and they’re spending most of this week working in their pizzeria.  The major renovations are pretty much done now; so they’re getting ready for the equipment and everything else that will be done between now and when they’re done college in May.  I don’t expect to do anything to help them until closer to opening when Michael and I can help with finishing touches and helping to get the supplies stocked; but it is exciting to see their dream coming to life – and having a pizzeria in town will be an awesome bonus!

That’s still about four and a half months away, though, so I’d better move on; or risk getting a craving for pizza that I can’t do anything about without a major road trip – or settling for cooking up a frozen pizza.

Michael and I don’t have anything exciting tonight, but I am looking forward to some quiet time with him – and we might even get a bit of alone time too sometime after Ethan and Ehlana head for bed.  We’re probably not going to have another sofa sleepover tonight, since Michael has to work the breakfast shift and I don’t; but we may change our minds about that if we decide that we can get away with another sofa sleepover without pushing that a bit too far with the parents. ;^)

For now, I’ll just be happy to wrap this up; get started with our quiet night in the lounge plan; and hopefully have a lot of fun with Michael before he’ll be back to work at the Inn tomorrow and through the weekend.

I’ve had a good day even with all of the work – especially having fun at the lab with Ethan and Ehlana, but it’s time to play again now; so, until next time...

...May the Magi Force be with you!
