Cassie's Journal - October 18, 2017

The weather continues to be awesome today for mid-October; and that came in handy because it allowed us to spend a lot of time outdoors – including for our cheerleading practice at lunchtime and while having our SAT study sessions after school and then after dinner too.  It was nice-enough for Tai Chi by the river this morning too; but not all that warm compared to later in the afternoon.

Being able to have that outdoor time was really the news of the day for me.  The studying is all for my classmates, since Michael, Rowen, and I want the best for our friends; and the SATs are a big deal for helping them to reach their dreams – which right now is all about college choices.  We can’t write the tests for them, obviously; but we are going to do everything we can to have them ready to do their best.  Michael and I have bonus SATs to get ready for too, so we have an excuse to study too; but we’re not worried about our tests and could write them right now if we needed to do that.  I’m not mentioning that to brag – only to remind future Magi readers that I first learned all of this high school stuff when I was still a toddler – just as the twins are already working on Doctoral-level studies at home while in Grade One at school.  Sure, their education is being done a bit differently than mine; but they’re planning for personal futures that will be a bit different than mine too – even as we all work toward the Ascension of the Light.

I really don’t want to make this a long update because I’m tired and up late yet again tonight; so let’s move this along.

We had a good school day.  Rowen and I had fun with cheerleading practice at lunch; and then our SAT studying was at the school because we decided to hang out and watch the football practice while studying – and enjoying the weather.  Michael had to work the dinner shift at the Inn, so I was at home with Mom and the twins for that; and then we had a gang of teens at our house for the evening study session.  We were outdoors for that until it started to get dark; took it indoors when Michael joined us after finishing up at the Inn; and worked until ten o’clock or so by the time we did both our homework and the exam studying.  Michael stayed for a Magi lesson; we took care of the bedtime fun with Ethan and Ehlana; and then he went home and I came up to my room and got to work.

I got a lot done tonight, but none of that work or studying included anything interesting for any but the most geeky among you; so I won’t bore you with the details.  A few extra minutes of nap time will be more productive for me too, and that’s pretty much all I have for you anyway; so, until next time...

...May the Magi Force be with you!
