Cassie's Journal - March 5, 2018

The weather was a bit cooler today, but still nice for early-March.  That meant that we had a chilly workout by the river; a hot breakfast to make up for that; and enough of a warming during the day that we could go biking and play at the park after school – which Michael and I did with the twins and some friends because we could.

I’ve had to make some trade-offs for doing that – including working late tonight, but I feel the countdown toward college more every week; and really need to make more time to spend with Ethan and Ehlana while I can.  Michael and I were at his house for dinner and the evening, since we need to spend more time with them too; and we had fun with everything from the test gourmet meal to the studying, music practice, and minor make-out time.  We had a bedtime visit with his parents that ended up lasting until a bit after eleven; and then I did a Magi lesson with Mom before coming up to bed at midnight.  The work and studying has kept me busy since then; there was also hours of time-phasing mixed in with the work I needed to do in ‘real’ time; and now it’s time for me to crash and nap for a couple of hours.

Until next time...

Cassie's Journal - March 4, 2018

My news for today is that I didn’t work at the Inn at all today.  That was weird for me, but it gave me the chance to get my work and studying done without staying up most of the night.

That’s why I’ll be sleeping so early tonight – and I’m glad for the chance to do that; since I have a lot of work on my schedule over the next two weeks as we head toward March Break.  I have lots of news coming up for that; but let’s save it for the actual March Break updates.  This report needs to start with the news that I won’t be writing any details about for the Michael and me time last night – and for a change; that isn’t because one or both of us fell asleep before we had any teen-rated fun at all! ;^)

We did have fun; didn’t actually watch the movie that we picked to provide background noise for the entertainment we provided for ourselves.  The sofa sleepover happened eventually; and our Sunday started out great with Tai Chi for four by the river – though that was a bit chilly.  Our church and Sunday school time was busy thanks to the teen work on getting ready for the Easter services; and then I walked Michael to the Inn and had a visit with him there before heading home in time to help out with making lunch for five.  Not having a gang with us for that meal was nice; and so was the work time that I had with Dad in the office while Mom, Ethan, and Ehlana went to play at the lab for a few hours.  We used a time phase; got a lot of work and studying done; and I only took a break when Michael was off from the Inn for his afternoon break – time that we instead used to do homework and only have a bit of playtime with a bike ride at the park.

Once Michael was back at work; I was too – in the office; and then helping out with making dinner when it was time to do that.  Dad was done his work by then, but I had a bit more to do; and Mom, Ethan, and Ehlana worked or studied in the office after dinner too – until I was done and ready to come up to my room for some quality time in my Jacuzzi.  That was fun; I’m in bed with Mandy now; and ready to get to the sleeping part of our night – though Mandy is already there.

This hasn’t really been a particularly-exciting day for me, but the full-night of sleep is going to be great; so I’m just going to wrap this up and get on with that!

Until next time...

Cassie's Journal - March 3, 2018

I’m getting ready for Michael to come over to spend the night here after he’s done work at the Inn; so this is going to be a micro update.

Our sofa sleepover was fun; we managed to watch that Zombies movie-musical; and had an early start to the day that included a fairly-busy breakfast shift at the Inn.  That was the only work I had there, but I did chores at home until lunchtime; and then spent the rest of the day playing and enjoying a warm, mid-sixties weather day while biking and playing at the park and elsewhere.  We had a barbeque dinner with some friends and family; I had more play time with the twins, Naomi, and Aiden after that; and then they all went to Aiden’s house for a sleepover – which has a bit to do with why Michael will be here with me again tonight.

I have some moderately-hot, teen-rated fun planned for us before we get to the sofa sleepover part of our night, and need to finish getting ready for that now since he’ll be here soon; so, until next time...

Cassie's Journal - March 2, 2018

We’ve had a nice weather day; a good day at school; and I took the night off from work and biked and played with the twins and some of our friends before having dinner for seven at home; and more play fun after that.  Naomi and Aiden are spending the night; we played video games and watched a movie in the lounge; and now Michael’s on his way here after getting stuck working late at the Inn thanks to a large group doing a weekend getaway.

I’m writing this update now because I’m going to keep him for a kid-rated sofa sleepover while we have four junior campers in the lounge and might watch most of the Disney Zombies movie if we don’t just fall asleep.  We have to work the breakfast shift, so we won’t get much sleep if we do stay up for the movie, but either way; we’ll have fun.

That’s fun that I want to get to now; so that’s all I have for tonight.

Until next time...

Cassie's Journal - March 1, 2018

We did not have March roar in like a lion, but some parts of the country did; so I’ll hope for the best for the end of this winter! ;^)

I’m feeling charitable like that despite being awake too late while trying to get all of my work and studying finished ahead of the weekend; and that happy had everything to do with my evening studying, music, and make-out time with Michael while our families were at the Inn for game night.  We had a good day to that point with our usual weekday morning routine and a nice mix of work and fun at school; and then I had some play time after school with the twins and their friends while Michael was busy at the Inn.  We went biking; played at the park; and had a snack break at home before I helped Mom with making dinner and then enjoying that meal with my family.

Michael came over when he was done at the Inn; I used a bit of a time phase to make sure we had all of the time we wanted for all of the fun we had; and then Mom did a Magi lesson with us once she was back from the Inn and before Michael went home for the night.  I really did have a pile of work and studying to do after that; but I’m done now; and it’s time to crash and nap for a couple of hours.  I don’t actually have any major plans this weekend, but will try to have some fun with my family and maybe help out a bit more around the house and yard too; since I really haven’t been pulling my own weight for that part of the everyday work that needs to be done all of the time – even during the winter.

That’s actually something to think about for Dad between when I head to college in August and when the twins will be old-enough to help with the toughest yard work jobs.  It isn’t something I want to ponder when I need to be sleeping, though, and I don’t want to ramble on about nothing while this tired; so, until next time...
