Ehlana and Ethan:
Try not to be shocked, but we’re going with a shorter report today because we are going to be busy for the rest of the day and then need to head for bed a bit early ahead of our trip home in the morning. We’ve had a fun day-so-far with more family time with the Everett cousins; we’re getting together with most of the family for dinner and the early evening too; and we’ve even managed to get some work done with Cassie and Michael that included a working lunch break. Our sightseeing included a visit to the space needle. It is still amazing, and it once held the record for tallest building west of the Mississippi River, but we’ve also been to the C.N. Tower in Toronto that was inspired by the space needle; and it is around three times taller; so our perspective is a bit different now than it would have been before that first tower experience.
While we’ve been enjoying another warm, partly-cloudy day here with lots of play time; we’ve missed another very hot day at home with triple-digit highs and sun that feels a bit too-intense. We’re getting teased by some cousins about the heat being the reason for saving up extra chores for after we get home so that we can help this weekend, but we were expecting to be put to work anyway; so that isn’t working on us. We might be missing out on some babysitting tonight after the co-ed ball practices, but we’ll survive and not feel guilty about having fun here instead. That’s enough for our news; so let’s make the world news update quick because we need to finish getting ready to go out for dinner and our evening play plans with the Everetts.
Nothing has changed today for the Middle East; the current plan from our side is still to starve out Iran instead of bombing them into the Stone Age; and Iran seems content to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed and wait to see whether the rest of the world can out-last them as critical shortages damage the world economy. The Ukraine war is all about destruction and escalation; and it is the people on the ground paying the price for their leaders’ never-ending stupidity. The only addition to that story we have for today is that President Putin has warned the western countries that if they do not stop pirating and stealing Russian ships and cargoes; they will retaliate as needed until they are forced to stop. That response has taken longer than we expected; and western leaders should take the warning seriously – and probably won’t; since that would require comprehension of reality!
Okay, we really need to wrap this up now; so that’s all for today. Stay tuned – our next report will be from home sometime tomorrow night!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
