Ethan and Ehlana:
We’ve decided to go with an early update because we’re transitioning from canoeing to baseball; and we expect to be busy for the rest of the day.
After Tai Chi by the river and breakfast with Mom, we were busy getting ready to head out on the river for our adventure to the whirlpool with a large gang of cousins and friends. We had a blast all day, and even getting caught in a short but fairly-strong thunderstorm only added to the entertainment; since we were prepared and managed to keep most of our supplies dry during the downpour. We played in and around the whirlpool for a few hours; canoed back home again; and we’ve just finished dealing with the post-canoeing work that included dealing with our gear and putting extra canoes away.
The rest of our news for the day can wait for our next report, but we can mention that we’ll be doing the usual baseball and pizza picnic dinner next; and there is a very good chance that Cassie and Michael will be hosting a tween night at their house while the teens are making other plans and the younger kids are probably going to be camping tonight in one or two back yards – depending on whether the girls want to be anywhere near Zack and some of the other boys. We can report on all of that tomorrow and will need to head for the park soon; so that’s all for today!
