Ethan and Naomi:
Rain and thunderstorms were part of the story today, but not really a big deal. The weather was great this morning for Tai Chi by the river and another round of yard chores that we did to finish up all of our usual weekend chores. We also had sunny weather for swim breaks and a picnic lunch; and we missed out on the main rain moments while we played at the lab or archives for a couple of hours this afternoon. We’ve had a mix of indoor and outdoor adventures from the time we finished at the lab through until now; and we’re at Naomi’s for the night – and have been hanging out with the Seagers since before dinnertime too. Ehlana and Aiden are taking their turns for showers and getting ready for our co-ed cuddle time, movies, and sleepover plans; so we’re taking care of this update so that we can have it out of the way ahead of the rest of our fun tonight.
There isn’t really anything major to add for our own adventures, but before we wrap this up; we thought that we’re overdue for at least a bit of commentary related to Jaimie and Kaitlyn; since their summer jobs are winding down; and they’ll be heading back home again on the holiday weekend.
Jaimie and Kaitlyn have spent more time living with Uncle Mark and Aunt Grace, but they’ve also been shared with Micah, Jeremy, and their families; they’ve done sleepovers with all of their aunts, uncles, and cousins; and their summer jobs have kept them busy too. They are winding down those jobs this week; so we’re hoping for a few bonus chances to play with them before we’ll all need to share our collective families over the holiday weekend. We don’t usually comment on the cameo moments we’ve had with them most days, but then that’s just one of those things that are part of life for everyone; and we could say that for basically all of our favorite people. What really matters for Jaimie and Kaitlyn is that they have been happy all summer; and we’re going to love it when they eventually make our hometown theirs too.
Okay, there will definitely be more news from our families as we head into the last week and change of our summer break, but that’s enough for tonight. Ehlana and Aiden will be caught up with us soon; so we’re going to put this computer away now and get started on that quality cuddle time! ;^)
