***Heirs of the Magi News Flash!*** The annual fall festival is now behind us, and Cassie and Michael are heading out on their fall trip - this time to the South Pacific! They'll miss out on the Halloween fun at home and the rest of the high school football season, but all of that time in tropical paradises will likely be worth those little sacrifices! Some favorite grandparents will be away for adventures in Arizona or elsewhere too, but our favorite Magi staying at home are sure to have a lot of fun anyway. Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 20^th Birthday, Cassie!

***RESTRICTED UPDATE***

Gwyneth sent Cassie a nasty birthday present – a mutant virus that could have been terrible if Cassie hadn’t foreseen and sensed the danger and kept it from getting out of the ‘gift’ box. She’ll send it along to us at the lab and we’ll take a look at it before destroying it, but while this wasn’t the most-exciting attack on Cassie; it could have been the most-dangerous for everyone around her. We’re glad that Gwyneth’s latest plan didn’t succeed; and wish that Cassie and Michael didn’t have to deal with yet another stupid attack on them. That’s all for this bit of news, but if we learn anything interesting about that virus; we’ll let you know in a future update.

As usual now, our involvement in Cassie’s special day was limited to a breakfast video chat and the gifts we sent with Michael at Christmas. They’ll be busy all day anyway. Our home-school day wasn’t birthday-party-exciting either, but we had a lot of fun with our band practice this afternoon; and then we followed that up with a standard weeknight dinner, work, and study evening with Mom and Dad after our best friends headed for their own homes tonight.

That’s all we have for tonight. With the time-phased work added in, we’ve had a very long day; we’re ready to crash and get some sleep; and are going to do that starting right now.
