Cassie's Journal - June 2, 2018

Last night ended too-late by the time we had the kinds sleeping and Mom and Dad got home; so Michael and I started out day out with some Magi healing fun before we headed for the Inn and our breakfast shift.

That left Mom and Dad on their own with a gang of kids, but while they had to deal with that for a while after getting up for the day too; they had parental support for breakfast – and they brought the entire gang to the Inn for that meal.  That helped to make my shift more fun – and the tips were pretty good too!  They had to move on to Ethan and Aiden’s ball game – and that did go ahead because the rain and thunderstorms we’d had earlier this morning had moved on by about an hour after Michael and I got to the Inn.  The grass was still wet, and they moved the early morning matches off the ball diamonds while they dried out; but at least they didn’t need to cancel any of the games today.

I was able to catch the end of Ethan’s game too, but Ethan, Aiden, and the rest of Green’s Garden Gnomes didn’t have a good start to their season because the River View Pizza Goblins were apparently more motivated by their young, beautiful sponsors – and the prospect of free pizza after the game!  The Garden Gnomes still went out for ice cream treats after the game, but I didn’t help out with that; and instead went home with Mom to get started on the chores while Dad went to help with the boys.  I worked in the yard until noon; got cleaned up; and then had a quick lunch before my classmates began arriving for our exam study session.  We worked all afternoon – until Michael and I needed to be at the Inn to work the dinner-to-close shift.  More studying was going on without us; but Tim and Rowen hosted that at her house – and they went out for pizza by the river too while Michael and I had to settle for slices of pizza and drinks when we took our break.

Our work at the Inn was busier tonight, but the dinner rush ended early; and we were able to get done by ten o’clock – including getting the library set up for the usual Sunday morning, self-serve breakfast.  By the time we got home to my house – after stopping in at Michael’s for an overnight bag; we found out that the twins were out for the night; and we were happy to have the lounge to ourselves for some teen make-out time and a sofa sleepover.

I’m getting ready for that now; that’s all the news for today; and I really want to get to the teen-rated play time with Michael now; so, until next time...

...May the Magi Force be with you!
