Cassie's Journal - July 23, 2017

The good news is that it was ten degrees cooler today than yesterday!  The bad is that’s still into triple-digits; and too hot for comfort in the kitchen at the Inn.

My sofa sleepover with Michael was great; Tai Chi by the river was too hot for the wrong reasons; and breakfast at Michael’s house was awesome because Jacob and Jake had a breakfast battle that we all got to enjoy as they tested out recipes on us.  The church service and Sunday school was short due to the extreme heat; and then I was at the Inn for most of the rest of the day – even when Michael and I had our breaks.  Sure, we jumped in the river a few times to cool off too, but in case I haven’t mentioned that lately; those mid-work swims do require extra effort on my part when it comes to getting changed and doing my hair again before getting back to work in the dining room – something that wasn’t an issue when I was in the kitchen instead.

We worked until ten-thirty; I came home after saying goodnight to Michael at his house; and got to work – while multi-tasking a soak in my Jacuzzi.  I had a lot of family business work to get done tonight; I did as much of it in a time phase as I could; and did the rest in real time – for too many hours.

Now I’m totally fried, and only have time left for a nap before getting up to do it all again, so that’s all I have for this report; and, until next time...

...May the Magi Force be with you!
